Through the Physics part about this project, we learned the scientific terms surrounding energy and how they worked. Through this we were able to take on projects that influenced our basic understandings on these terms diving more depth into them.
AC/DC Current Description Poster made for the community to have a foundational understanding for projects regarding currents.
Project Reflection
Applying the principles of Physics during the Energy Project was mind draining to grapple with and hard to comprehend. Though, through this struggle I took away one thing, this was learning about waves. Waves are disturbances all around us that propagate through a substance (Air, Buildings, Water, ECT.) In class we experimented using water wave makers that simulate actual waves and how they work, especially with refraction, and reflection. We further learned that waves are the reason we see colors, feel warmth, and can hear voices as the anatomy of our ears allow us to digest sounds of specific frequencies. This caught my interest as I never thought this simple term had such an impact on our life, especially in the face of electricity when it travels, it's amazing to have seen human development using pure waves. Using all the principles of Mathematics and Physics I learned throughout the year, especially during this unit. It was a very supporting pillar to the success of the exhibition because I built an understanding. Being a part of the leadership group, It was necessary to understand as we had to set a founding layer to the community to help build an understanding for them. Accomplishing this we each made a poster about a topic. For instance, mine was about AC/DC current. Not only was this helpful to the community, but to our classmates as we helped set them up for success by making a floor plan, help them understand the basic terms and apply them to their projects, and overall set them up for success. This all was achieved by communication and teamwork by all of us, overall it was successful and very pleasing to reflect on.
Space Travel Unit
Within this unit of Physics, my class was tasked with researching the seemingly limitless boundaries of Outer-Space. Each of us were assigned a specific topic to show and apply into a presentation for our Animas community.
Should We Go To Space?
I believe humanity should go to Outer-Space. After digging deep into this project and discovering information beyond my past knowledge; I couldn't tell you what Nuclear Fusion was beforehand. Nuclear Fusion is the process of two atomic nuclei (Atoms) fusing together in-turn releasing mass amounts of clean semi-reusable (Assuming the fusion can keep occurring) through Dueterated metals such as Erbium. Meaning scientists can keep reusing space-crafts for long periods of time saving resources on Earth for a more sustainable life. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Reflection
To Reflect, I can critique myself on what I should have done differently, what I can make sure to do for my next project(s) I definitely wish I was more lenient on myself and didn't force myself to go beyond my barrier when I did not need to make it harder on myself. I also wish I could've done something shorter, and more interactive so it was more entertaining, and attractive to the audience. To grow from this, I would like to nurture my ability to manage my time, I did not follow that and had to work harder and longer to check all the goals I had created for myself since I procrastinated. To ensure this, I have been practicing with my other classes setting a timer for a specific amount of time to sit down and work before taking a break if i did not finish to not burn myself out.
